Desertification in Libya: Situation Estimation and Potential Solution for Sustainable Land Development

Abstract
Desertification has become one of the main issues that make the countries worried about, which pushes them to make different plans to avoid its increase and put some solutions to minimize it. Combating Desertification is necessary since in some countries, the desert is occupying a huge area of it such as Libya and expanding it will tighten the fertile land which is already limited. Expanding the desert have negative impacts not just on the environment, but economically as well, since the value of the land will decrease, this increases the importance of combating the desertification. In this paper, some potential solutions and recommendation will be suggested to combat the desertification and to deaccelerate the land degradation in Libya.
