Information System Development for Research and Academic Information Service Management of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University

Abstract
The aim of this study is to develop the information system using web application to manage research and academic information service of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in order to improve the research management of the university. The main structures of the system process consist of: 1. Preliminary research proposal with grant request (Pre-audit) 2. Project progress report (Ongoing) and 3. Research report and publication (Post-audit). The investigators developed the system based on web application using PHP and phpMyAdmin to manage a research database. The system test showed that this online system “Research Information System (RIS)” could shorten time in the period of Pre-audit and helped in managing a research service efficiently and accurately. The quality evaluation of Research Information System (RIS)--- undertaken by experts and researchers in 5 aspects; design, usability, security, reducing time, and accuracy ---showed the highest average value (X=4.40) on the aspect of reducing time. Meanwhile, the system efficiency evaluation was on an excellent level (X=4.17). Keyword - Information System, Research, Manangment
