Paper Title
Designing a Unit for Converting Wheat Straw into Biofuel in SUDAN

Abstract
Production of bio-fuels by converting wheat straw into syngas (methane, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, char, di-hydrogen sulfide, and ammonia) in the fluidized bedreactor (gasifier) is studied in this work. Gasification by steam–oxygen at temperature 870℃, Solid impurities and acid gases were removed in many stages to obtain hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The conversion of hydrogen and carbon monoxide into liquid fuels is taken place in Fischer Tropsch reactor. In the Fischer Tropsch reactor, the gases contact cobalt as a catalyst for the production of long hydrocarbon chains of different petroleum cuts (gas fuel,LPG, naphtha, diesel and heavy oils). The overall carbon monoxide conversion is 66%. The reactors of this unit are well designed a steady state model equations. Index Terms - Biofuel, syngas, wheat straw, gasifier, Fischer Tropsch.
