Abstract
Diverse gender expressionhas become a trend worldwide. Meanwhile, video games especially mobile gamesplay significant roles in cultural life. However, the gender stereotype presented by avatars in video games seems not in line with the current diverse gender expression trend. This study aims atexploring gender expression based on avatar creation in video games among players with various gender expressions and then providing suggestions for avatar design to optimize the game experience and create a more free and harmonious identity space for differentgender expression groups in the virtual game world.
