National Culture and Manufacturing…Any Relationship

Abstract
This paper presents explores the relationship between manufacturing competitiveness and talent management through a national culture perspective. We specifically focus on long-term orientation as an important national culture dimension that relates to talent and manufacturing excellence. Different hypotheses are presented to investigate the moderating effect of long-term orientation on the relationship considered. Results show that national culture can help to better understand the variable and positive relationship between talent management and manufacturing competitiveness.
