Visualization of Risks in The Czech Republic
Abstract
The basic objective of the Czech Republic is to ensure the protection of the fundamental interests of the state, in particular the lives and health of people, property, the environment and critical infrastructure. The territory (system) consists of elements interconnected by energy, information, financial and other links. Damage to these phenomena by a threat of a different nature could lead to disruption or malfunctioning of the system as a whole. This requires the adaptation of the options of the safety system of the Czech Republic. Within the framework of prevention in the area of civil protection, the Czech Republic has a strategic document - the Concept of Civil Protection up to 2020 with a view to 2030. One of the tasks of the Concept was to prepare a threat analysis for the Czech Republic and its conclusions to be reflected in methodological and strategic materials in the area of state safety. The article focuses on the description of Threat Analysis for the Czech Republic and its use in risk mapping. Part of the paper is a description of the ongoing project, which focuses on Risk Mapping in the Czech Republic. This part of the paper focuses on the selected bases of mapping the risks that are necessary for visualization the risks on the map. It uses the interaction of different types of dangers with the vulnerability of the territory and the level of preparedness in that territory.
