Paper Title
Intensity Standardization of Longitudinal Periapical Radiography Images

Abstract
The most commonperiapical tissue disease, periapical periodontitis, is a bacterial infection in the tooth that causes acute or chronic inflammation in the periapical tissue. In particular, for an infected periapical tissue, the X-ray images feature areas that are significantly darker than that of healthy tissues.Dentist usually evaluate the recovery of tooth disease go better or worse by observing the grayscale difference. However, longitudinal images are taken at different times, so the degree of grayscale is also different. Therefore, this study develops an algorithm to standardize image intensity. There are 40 participants, whose age range from 30 to 68 years. The preliminary results show that the proposedmethod can adjust longitudinal images with different intensity, so that the physician can quickly find the corresponding lesion position at different time points, and then diagnose the recovery state in the future.
