Paper Title
Modeling and Optimization of Lemon Leavesextract as an Eco-Friendly Corrosion Inhibitor for Mild-Steel in 1m Hcl

Abstract
Corrosion is a major problem faced in industries which is highly expensive if not controlled. This research investigated the use of Lemon Leaves Extract as an eco-friendly corrosion inhibitor for mild-steel in HCl using gravimetric method. The effect of the Concentration Inhibitor: 0.2-08g/l; Temperature: 30-60℃; and Time: 2-6h; respectively on the corrosion rate was investigated using Response Surface Methodology. The optimal process conditions predicted were Temp: 54.65℃; Time: 2.54 h; and Conc: 0.33g/l and the optimum corrosion rate was predicted to be 0.62 ( g/(〖cm〗^2 h)).The Scanning Electron Micrograph analysis of the lemon leaves extract at the optimal process levels showed that protective film was formed on the mild steel surface which confirmed the high performance of the inhibitive effect of the lemon leaves extract. It can be concluded that lemon leave extract could be recommended as low cost inhibitor for corrosion inhibition of Mild steel in 1M HCl.
