Uniform-To-Bessel Laser Beam Transformation Using Refracting Systems

Abstract
In this paper, the design of one-lens refracting systems is proposed to provide a particular laser irradiance profile. Specifically, the input and the output surfaces of the lens are derived for laser beam transformation of circularly-uniform beam to Bessel beam. It will be demonstrated that the Bessel beam power and the system length can be selected to achieve desired values. Index Terms— Beam shaping, refractive system, Optical lens design.
