Teaching Social Thinking Through Computer Games

Abstract
Higher order thinking skills enables students to deal with various situations, solve problems and make decisions. This paper will present a course program, where teachers use computer games to enhance social thinking skills. Developing the computer games included analyzing situations and building an algorithm of problem solving. The program enhanced thinking skills: considering alternatives, considering consequences, comparing and analyzing steps. This study calls for the awareness of the significant potential of computers for teaching thinking skills for the everyday lives. Index Terms- Technology High-Order-Skills
