Effects Of Test Administration On The Performances Of Cycle 3 Nce Dls Students (2011) Achievement Test In Katsina State North-West Nigeria

Abstract
This study examined the effect of test administration on the performance of cycle 3 NCE (DLS, 2011) student achievement test. The study focused attention on sitting arrangement, ventilation and spaciousness. About 200 student scores were collected. At the time of writing the examination, checklist was used to collect the data on test administration. After, which raw examination scores were collected and analysed using t-test independent sample. From the findings, students with good sitting arrangement tend to perform significantly better than student with poor sitting arrangement. This is because the mean score for students with good sitting arrangement were 57.61 against those with poor sitting arrangement which is 42.52. Those with adequate spaciousness have a mean of 51.29 as against those with in adequate spaciousness with a mean of 41.11. Those students with adequate ventilation have a mean of 67.61 and those without adequate ventilation have a mean of 42.52. The paper finally recommended that all test administrators should ensure adequate spacing during test taking and that examination halls should have adequate ventilation such as windows, workable fans were put in place throughout examination period.
