Paper Title
Magnetic Adsorbents For Separation Of Some Heavy Metals

Abstract
A new adsorbent was prepared by the combination of Fe3O4 nanoparticles and polyacrylamide using the solvothermal process for solid phase extraction of some heavy metals. The prepared adsorbent showed porous characters. The analytical parameters, including pH, eluent type and sample volume, were optimized. The optimum elution conditions were obtained at pH 5, and 4 mL of 2 M nitric acid. The quantitative recovery percentage was still feasible to sample volume as large as 150 mL. The proposed procedure showed a preconcentration factor of 37.5 and is applicable in presence of different coexisting ions. The developed procedure was successfully applied for the enrichment of Cr(III), Co(II), Cd(II), Zn(II) and Pb(II) from samples with different matrices, including water and food samples. Keywords- Fe3O4 nanoparticles, polyacrylamide, magnetic solid phase extraction, ICP-MS.
