Paper Title
Energy Management Optimization by using Discrete Dynamic Programming for Plug-In Complex HEV

Abstract
In this study, hybrid system control has been optimized in order to minimize fuel consumption for a complex plug-in hybrid SUVby using the discrete dynamic programming method at determined test cycles. The vehicle propulsion system modeled in Simulink program is simulated in rule based and optimization based control systems. Test simulation has been operated in charge sustaining mode with WLTC, NEDC and FTP72 test cycles in case rule based and optimization based hybrid control strategy. The results obtained under the same test conditions were compared in terms of fuel consumption, state of charge and Hybrid operation mode. Keywords - Hybrid Electric Vehicle; Hybrid Control Strategy; Optimized Energy Management; Discrete Dynamic Programming.
