Paper Title
The Role of Transformational and Transactional Leadership Styles in Achieving Organizational Change
Abstract
A focus group session of 75 participants, namely consisting of subordinates and employees from varying and diverse organizational backgrounds, found that certain leadership qualities and attributes are valued over other. This indicates that leadership styles, namely transactional and transformational, need to be integrated together for successful organizational change, owing to their association and relationship with factors such as organizational knowledge management, attitudinal and perceptual changes in employee perspectives, cultural changes, development in productivity and efficiency, among other factors. This paper looks at the various ways in which these styles are associated with each other and the overall organizational fabric and mechanism, along with the reasons why each of these styles might be relevant in their own way depending upon circumstances and organizational objectives concerning change and restructuring.
