Teaching Electromagnetism in Secondary School As A Topic in Educational Research: A Literature Review

Abstract
This paper presents a literature review regarding the subject “Electromagnetism teaching and learning at secondary school level” based on research papers approaching this topic. In doing so, we searched in the main international journals regarding educational and teaching area. The results are both qualitative and quantitative. Literature show that electromagnetism has many abstract contents and teaching all of them is even more challenging, so it is important to conceive and think its approach more broadly. This work also looked for article that which could address this point. Results show that the number of total articles found (33) is low when compared to the journals investigated (25). Moreover, we found that when concerning taking electromagnetic contents topic to the classroom, 8 out of 9 teachers choose to some technological approach.
