Implant Loosening Due to Tb Infection in Post Total Hip Replacement: A Case Report

Abstract
Tuberculosis infection is commonly found in Indonesia, as endemic country of TB. Infection can be found in several organs including musculoskeletal. On other hand, patient with history of implant operation has potential risk of infection in surrounding of implant site with various way of bacteria invasion. We present a case of a 19-year-old male with TB infection in peri-implant site which cause serious problem as loosening of implant itself. Index Terms— tuberculosis infection, loosening, implant, total hip replacement.
