Paper Title
Development of Corn Waste for Reuse as a Catalyst

Abstract
Corn after harvest, it is the agricultural waste cannot be avoided. When the farmers would like to start planting again, the agricultural waste is disposed of by means of burning, which cause pollution and destroy the environment. So there is a great need in the management of agricultural waste as a new function. Some agricultural wastes can produce the silica as a source for chemical catalysts. Silicafrom natural sourcehas a very high purity. In this research, the extraction of silica from cornbladewill be used as silica source for synthesisof a zeolite catalyst in petrochemical industry. Corn wastewaspurified by leaching in HCl and sintering. XRF results showed that the obtained ash has high silica (SiO2) content. Zeolite wassynthesized by TPABr template. The obtained Zeolite was confirmed by SEM-EDX and XRD as beta Zeolite. This obtained Zeolitewill be used to develop as a catalyst in the petrochemical industry.
