Advancing Reading Skills In Self Study Hours
Abstract
This study has been conducted in 2018-2019 Academic Year, Fall Term at Anadolu University School of Foreign Languages. During the self-study hours that are assigned to the schedule as a supplementary lesson for students it has been focused on Guessing Meaning activities. These activities not only enable the students and the teachers to get a break from their classes but also they socialize outside the class in a more relaxing atmosphere such as school canteens, TV rooms, or cafes.
