Abstract
This paper investigates the relationships between capital market index and gross domestic product, consumer price index, gross domestic savings, financial development, and exchange rates in the case of Malaysia over the (1977−2013) period. It employs the ARDL bounds testing approach and found the existence of co-integration among the series. This paper suggests government authorities to establish more entry points projects to achieve sustainable economic and financial development in Malaysia. Keywords - ARDL approach; KLCI; Macroeconomics; Malaysia.
