Paper Title
Criteria for The Selection of Business Entities in Cooperation Arrangement in Poland

Abstract
The strategy of cooperation is nowadays one of the dominant in the choices made by companies. In contrast to previous solutions in this area, the current forms of cooperation have diversified and can take on an unprecedented form, or even become a paradox, as is the case with coopetition, which is cooperation between two or more competing companies. The reason for this is the increased complexity of the market environment, its rapid volatility and unpredictability, and its ongoing globalization. This situation is a source of new threats, but also unexpected and short-term market opportunities. As a result, companies are facing new challenges and fear that they will not be able to cope with them themselves and striving to achieve a synergy effect create different types of cooperation systems based on cooperation and sharing knowledge. An example is the emergence and functioning of business ecosystems created around enterprises - authors of breakthrough innovations. In the first part of the article, using the literature studies will be presented new forms of cooperation systems and perceived trends in their development. In the second part, the results of research in the scope of determining the hierarchy of validity of the selection criteria of cooperation partners will be presented. The research was of cognitive nature and was carried out in two stages. In the first stage, using the structured interview sought to know all the criteria used by entrepreneurs and managers in choosing partners to cooperate. In the second stage, using the questionnaire research under the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the hierarchy of validity of the selection criteria for cooperation partners used by Polish entrepreneurs was defined.
