Stimulation Energy Conservation Using High Efficiency Equipment and Appliances in Thailand

Abstract
In Thailand, Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) have organized the project to promote and encourage the use of machinery, materials and equipment having high efficiency that affect the energy for the plant, building and agricultural sectors. DEDE will support 20% of investment up to 3 million for each company. The successful of the project (with 127,526,823.17 baht state investment subsidy scheme) can be shown that total energy cost savings is 354,449,823.02 baht/year and total energy savings is 14,703.25 toe/year. Carbon Dioxide Emissions Reduction will be 97,588.99 tones/year. Average payback period is about 2.5 years for the project. The power demand can be reduced at least 19 Megawatts and the imports of crude oil also is reduced about 4 million liters per year. Keywords - Energy management, Energy Saving, Energy Conservation
