Model Reference Based Fuzzy Adaptive Pi Controller Design for Conical Tank System
Abstract
Conical tanks are widely used in process industries. In this paper the mathematical modeling for a conical tank system is derived and the system is linearised using piecewise linearization[1]. Fuzzy logic controllers are widely in used in the system that are complex and noisy due its flexibility . In this work Zeigler Nicholas (Z-N) tuned PI controller, Model Reference based Fuzzy Adaptive PI Control (MRFAPI) is derived in simulation. The simulation is designed in MATLAB platform. Model Reference Based Reference Based Fuzzy Adaptive PI is much better than the conventional PI controller in terms of peak overshoot, settling time and Integral Absolute Error(IAE).
