Green Synthesis And Characterization Of Silver Nanoparticles Using Nothopanax Schutellarium Leaf Extract

Abstract
Silver nanoparticles have been synthesized using the green synthesis method in which Nothopanax schutellarium leaf extract is used for reducing silver ions from silver nitrate. These silver nanoparticles then were characterized using SEM-EDS, XRD and UV-vis. The results of SEM and XRD show the particle size of about 68 nm. Based on the XRD results, peaks appear at 2 theta of 37.909o, 64.302o, and 77.239o with the hkl planes are (111), (220) and (311) respectively. Furthermore the UV-vis result shows the maximum wavelength absorbed at 436 nm. Keywords - Silver Nanoparticles, Green Synthesis, Nothopanax Schutellarium, SEM, XRD, UV-vis
