Supply Chains Vulnerability Management Practices in Somalia

Abstract
Supply chain is considered as an important element on the success of every business in the global context. There are corporate risks associated with the supply chain that can eventually lead to business failure. As a business requirement, assessing the possible supply chain vulnerabilities and proactively dealing with its impact can mitigate corporate supply chain risks and disturbances. The purpose of this study is to examine the processes of building the demand plan and assessing the supply chain risks, monitoring and evaluating plans. A quantitative survey methodology has been adopted using self-administered questionnaires to collect data from purposively selected local enterprises. The findings of this study are expected to be helpful to both policy makers and corporate businesses in Somalia.
