Paper Title
Construction of Hands-on Temperature Control Kit for Undergraduate Control Education

Abstract
Teaching theory and application of process control concept is a challenging area of instruction within the chemical engineering curriculum. Due to a high level of Engineering mathematics subjects being applied in teaching the concepts, the students often develop apathy for the course and perceive it as being conceptually tough, abstract, and incoherent with other coursework. The hands-on experiments put students at the advantage of being actively involved to discover the linkage between the theoretical concepts of the course and its relevance in real physical system with a sense of accomplishment. Thus, the aim of this work was to develop a hand-on temperature control kit to aid teaching of process dynamics and control to undergraduate students of Chemical Engineering Department, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria. Keywords - Process Dynamic, Process control, Hands-on experiment, Set-point tracking, Disturbance rejection
