Paper Title
H2A, A New Secure and Efficient Cipher Algorithm for Smart Cards

Abstract
Smart cards are computer-like devices with small size and very limited hardware and software resources. This paper introduces a new secure and small-sized cipher algorithm suitable for implementation on limited resources devices like smart cards. The proposed cipher algorithm has a high degree of cryptographic strength compared to the Advanced Encryption Standard finalists but with less number of rounds and smaller size. The building blocks of the proposed algorithm have been chosen/generated with very high-valued cryptographic properties. The proposed cipher has been tested for randomness, unpredictability and immunity against known linear and differential cryptanalysis attacks. The high performance of the algorithm has been evaluated by counting the number of CPU cycles consumed for one-byte encryption. Finally, and for the purpose of verification, the algorithm has been implemented on an open platform processor card to evaluate its suitability to work on smart cards.
