Paper Title
Witnessing Cyberbullying, Empathy, Attitudes Toward Cyberbullying And Cyberbullying Perpetration

Abstract
There have been relatively few studies that investigated the predictors of cyberbullying among Chinese students. In particular, past studies suggested that witnessing aggression might be related to implementing violent behaviour. Therefore, this study aimed at investigating the relations among attitudes toward cyberbullying, empathy, witnessing cyberbullying, and cyberbullying perpetration. Across 257 Chinese students, it was found that positive attitudes toward cyberbullying (i.e. believing that cyberbullying is acceptable) and experience in witnessing cyberbullying positively explained cyberbullying perpetration, while empathy negatively predicted cyberbullying perpetration. After controlling gender, age, positive attitude toward cyberbullying and empathy, witnessing cyberbullying still positively predicted cyberbullying perpetration and explained 11.1% of unique variance. This research demonstrated theoretical and practical importance of investigating the factors, particularly the importance of witnessing cyberbullying, in predicting cyberbullying perpetration.
