Paper Title
Collaborative Robots in Manufacturing Applications Safety and Ergonomic Approach

Abstract
Human collaborative robots (HCR) is a robot intended for cooperation with humans. It is an innovative solution that brings a range of opportunities for industry automation. The nature of collaborative robots allows them to not only work in the same workspace as humans but also to perform physical interaction in the shared workspace. This work aims to provide an overview about the state of the art of this application in terms of ergonomic and safety approach. A case study of application at a car manufacturer will be presented. Risk assessment for human-robot collaborative work environment will be introduced through diverse ways to measure risk and by means of two safety method analysis used to improve safety control: Hazard and Operability Analysis – HAZOP and Failure Mode effect Analysis – FMEA. Keywords - Collaborative robots, physical interaction, shared workspace, risk analysis.
