Network Administration of College of Allied Health Sciences, Suansunandharajabhat University, Samutsongkhram Education Center in Thailand
Abstract
This research aimed to study the process of network administration of College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Education Center, to analyze the problems and obstacles in the collaboration, and to suggest the solution. This research was a documentary research that employed the qualitative method and an in-depth interview for data analyzing. Five samples in this research consisted of (1) alumni network (2) community network (3) entrepreneur network (4) professional association network and (5) international alliance network that cooperated with College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. The results indicated the process of network administration that featured 1) the college strategic plan followed the Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s strategic plan; network creation and network participation were four dimensions of effectiveness, service quality, capacity, and organization development, 2) the structure design was initiated by the functional organization structure and followed the Act of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University which the division of student affairs was selected to administer the networks, and 3) network connection was found that the college concentrated on the network creation, formulation of objectives, frameworks, and actions such as synergy, exchanging, participative management, and integration with public sector, private sector, non-profit organization, educational institution, and local community. The problems of network administration in the collaboration were the discontinuity of collaboration, delay process of public administration, complex procedures, as well as lack of skilled workers. This research recommended that (1) the networks should have the cooperative interaction among others, (2) the administrative system should be transparent, (3) the working procedures should be a simple process and specified by organization’s goal, (4) the collaboration and working procedures should have the continuity, and (5) skill enhancement for workers should be organized.
