Reliability Analysis In 2-Component Standby Redundant System With Priority Through Maximum Entropy Principle

Abstract
Ina previous study, under the situation that only the average and variance of failure and repair time of each component are provided, the mean time to failure(MTTF) and variance of failure time in a 2-component standby redundant system with priority have been formulated. In this study, we addressa method for evaluating the reliability of the system using MTTF and variance of failure time. In particular, based on maximum entropy principle, we derive the reliability function.
