Problem Solving Policy on Social Discrimination in an Economic Zone, Sa Kaeo Province

Abstract
This research is conducted with the objectives of: 1) to study the problem solving of social discrimination in an economic zone, Sa Kaeo province, 2) to study factors affecting the problem solving policy on social discrimination in an economic zone, Sa Kaeo province, and 3) to propose a solution on the social discrimination problems in an economic zone, Sa Kaeo province. The sample size is the people in Sa Kaeo province, living in the 3 districts namely, Amphoe Sa Kaeo, Amphoe Aranyaprathet, and Amphoe Ta Phraya altogether at 400 people. The data are collected through the questionnaires. The results show that the overall value of problem solving policy toward social discrimination in an economic zone of Sa Kaeo province is at the high level( = 3.504, S.D. = .446). When consider each dimension separately, it is found that the wealth and income factor is at the high level ( = 3.733, S.D. = .542), and then it is followed by income distribution factor is at high level ( = 3.721, S.D. = .473), and the lowest level ( = 3.245, S.D. = .575) is political right factor. The results also reveal that the differences in income and occupation have different opinions toward problem solving policy on social discrimination in an economic zone, Sa Kaeo province at the significant value of 0.05. For the suggestions toward problem shooting policy for social discrimination in an economic zone, Sa Kaeo province, it is found that the government should allow the local people to participate in the management of local resources, the creation of opportunity for education, the promotion of an assessment to government resources in which it can eradicate social discrimination problem and promote sustainable development Keywords - Problem Solving, Social Discrimination, Special Economic Zone
