The Effect of Developing Some Sports Equipment and Tools on Reducing the External Injuries of the Educable Mentally Retarded Children during Sports Activity at School
Abstract
The present research aims to reduce the external injuries (related to the surrounding environment) that occur to the educable mentally disabled while doing sports activity at school. This can be achieved through several objectives:
• An analytical study of the external sports injuries related to the surrounding environment to which persons with special needs (educable mentally disabled) are vulnerable while practicing sports at school.
• Reducing the recurrence of external injuries through developing some equipment and tools which are suitable for the physical characteristics of the mentally disabled persons in order to reduce the rate of external injuries while practicing sports.
