Selecting the Most Suitable Mechanical Olive Harvester Method by Using Hesitant Fuzzy Topsis Method

Abstract
Olive is considered as one of the most important and useful products, but the traditional harvesting methods are failing to fulfill the current need; therefore, it is crucial to make the olive harvesting mechanized. In order to expedite the olive harvesting mechanization process, many technological innovations have been introduced into the olive oil sector, and the various machines and equipment have their own special advantages and maybe some disadvantages. The main challenge is to select the best olive harvesting machine to develop and improve the economic conditions. In the present study, we proposed a decision making model about olive harvesting machines. In decision making model AHP and the Hesitant Fuzzy Topsis Method is combined. To the our knowledge there is no other work that used this combination for selecting the optimal mechanical olive harvester. Four alternative mechanical olive harvester method, and eights criteria are defined from the expert opinion. In the case study, Hesitant Fuzzy Topsis Method is examined for ranking the alternatives and finally the optimal mechanical olive harvester method is determined.
