The Effects Of Firm Characteristics On Corporate Social Responsibilityactivities In Industry Sector In Eastern Of Thailand
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to find the influence of industry´s registered capital, duration of operation and type of industry on corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities in industry plant in eastern of Thailand. This study were collected from questionnaire of 384 executives and account managers of industry sector in Eastern of Thailand. The data collected from the survey were analyzed in SPSS statistics program using Analysis of variance (ANOVA)methods. Analyze the difference in pair by Scheffe Analysis. The results of the study there is Industry in the East with the activities of CSR at a high level. There was a statistically significant difference in the level of social responsibility activities by the characteristics of the industry. According to the results of the study there is found to be effect of company size, age and type of industry on the level of CSR activities. This effect of company registered capital and duration of operation implies that the level of CSR activities increase as an industry has a high registered capital and long operating period.
