Selection Of An Adaptive Step Size For Parareal Algorithm

Abstract
A practical strategy is constructed to select an adaptive step size for solving stiff initial value problem in the parareal framework. For this, we propose a technique to detect stiffness of a given system and its solutions since the time step size can be chosen according to the extent of stiffness. Numerical experiments demonstrate the theoretical results. Keywords: Stiffness, Initial Value Problems, Parareal Method.
