Willingness to Pay to be Forgotten on Internet

Abstract
This study aims to investigate public perception on the right to be forgotten, and to estimate the willingness to pay for it based on the stated preference data. The right to be forgotten means the right of the people to request information and communication providers to delete personal information related to them on Internet. According to the survey results, about 23% of Koreans have heard of the right to be forgotten and individual WTP for it is calculated about 1218 KRW per month on average.
