Voltage Influence on Fuel Flow Through Injector EFIJ-1-38

Abstract
Shell Eco Marathon is a one of the biggest world-wide competitions for students passionatewith automotive. The purpose of the competition is to design and build a vehicle,with the highest possible fuel efficiency. There are many factors which have impact on efficiency of the car.For example, weight, shape or engine.Nevertheless, the most important part of each vehicle is of course engine, which needs to be modified and improved. One of the part which has significant influence onfuel efficiency during driving the car is injector. It decides how muchof petrol is taken from tank and broughtto combustion zone. In order to improve results in SEM, authors have decided to investigate impact of some factors, on the injector EHIJ-1-38, which was used in a construction of their vehicle. This article concerns influence of voltage on fuel flow through the injector EFIJ-1-38 and describes results of tests which were carried out.
