Paper Title
Assessment of Latitudinal Anomalies of Temperature in The Northern Hemisphere

Abstract
This paper studies the 1000 hPa air temperature for the Northern Hemisphere for the period 1948-2013 based on the NCEP/NCAR reanalysis. The study area is the range of latitudes 55° to 75° N and longitude from 40° W to 70° E. The methods used in this study are: Rodionov regime shift detection and calculating anomalies. The results showed that there are 5 temperature regimes in the study area (1948-1960, 1961-1971, 1972-1988, 1989-1998, 1999-2013) this period can be divided into two larger periods, a cold period (1948-1994) and a warm period (1995-2013). The greatest temperature anomaly occurred at the latitude of 75° N. The temperature in the first period (1948-1994) was 0.52°C below the average of the entire study period, but in the period of 1995-2013, it was 1.28°C above. Thus, this latitude was 1.80°C warmer in the second period than in the first period. The latitudes of 72.5 and 70°N show 1.17 and 0.76°C, increase from the first to the second period, respectively, and they are located in next rank of the latitudes with the highest temperature anomalies. The weakest temperature anomaly occurred at the latitude of 65°N, with a temperature increase of only 0.55°C. The latitudes of 62.5 and 67.5 ° N come close with temperature increase of 0.58 and 0.59°C, respectively. At 65°N, 1969 was the coldest year, with a temperature of 1.36°C below the average of the entire study period, while 2007 was the warmest year with temperature 1.19°C above the average. At the latitudes of 57.5, 60 and 62.5°N, 1969 was the coldest year with temperatures deviating respectively, -1.34, -1.24 and -1.21, ° C from the average of the entire study period. The years 2007, 2008 and 2005, were the warmest ones with temperatures of 1.12, 1.1 and 1.05 ° C above the average of the entire study period. At the latitudes of 65, 67.5 and 70°N, 1966 was the coldest year with temperature deviating -1.4, -1.62 and -1.77°C from the mean value. The warmest years at these latitudes were 1953, and 2011 with temperature deviations of 1.22, 1.21 and 1.34°C above the average. At 72.5 and 75°N, the year 1968 was the coldest one with temperature deviations of -2.44 and -3.6 ° C, respectively, while 2012 was the warmest with temperatures 1.81 and 2.83° C above the average.
