Production of Graphene by Arc-Discharge Synthesis

Abstract
Graphene has attracted global scientists over the last two decades around the globe as graphene has a unique band structure and it is the strongest substance quantified yet. As a nano-material, graphene is considered to be deployed in solar cells, super capacitors and catalysis for fuel cells in the near future. It is also a promising material for low-cost, flexible and highly efficient solar cells as it has great electron-transport features as well as its high carrier mobility. In this study, arc discharge technique was considered in order to produce few-layer graphene.The aim of the study is to collect to produce graphene in an effective way and purify the collected samples under desired conditions.
