Vibration Analysis of a Cracked Beam Under Moving Load

Abstract
In thisstudy the dynamic behaviour of the cracked beam subjected to moving dynamic force is analysed by modelling the clamped-clamped cracked Euler-Bernoulli beam. The present formulation contains dynamic force in the sinusoid wave and the moving load velocity. The differential equation which involves complicated terms is solved using maple program. The behaviour of the cracked beam at different load velocity and force frequency is studied. There is no significant effect on the beam deflection with change in crack location. The beam deflection increased with increasing velocity ration v/vcr at a constant force frequency. Keywords: Dynamic Analysis, Moving Load, Cracked Beam, Euler-Bernoulli Beam.
