Theories Of Crime Economy And Crime: An Empirical Analysis On Turkey

Abstract
Crime Phenomenon incoming from past to present was existed in all humanities and will continue its presence in the future too. This phenomenon begun with humanities, despite getting interest in social science, it has also got interest in economy science recently.Purpose of this study by investigating dynamic relationships between economic and social factors on criminals in Turkey is to shown how much these factors influence each other in long and short terms. This study, income level and unemployment rate used as an economic parity on people who sentence in prison in Turkey by using annual series enclosing periods in 1952-2011, relationship of cointegration between number of primary and high school graduates based on social parity analyzing both Johansen test and Bounds Test were studied. Results of analysis in both methods series cointegration were determined. In Bounds Testing, negative correlation was fixed on relationship between criminals and income level in short and long terms.
