The Effect of Collaborative Writing Strategy on the Writing Skill of the Second Year Students of SMA Ummul Mukminin
This research aims to explore the effect of collaborative writing strategy in improving the writing skill of the second year students of SMA Ummul Mukminin. The researcher applied quasi-experimental design.. The sample was taken by cluster random sampling technique. There were 21 students in experimental groupand 24 students in control group. Writing test was given to both groups as pretest and posttest to know the students’ writing skill before and after the treatment. The result of data analysis shows that the students’ score in posttest for experimental group was higher than that for control group. The result showed that the use of collaborative writing improves writing skill of the second year students at SMA Ummul Mukminin.
