Paper Title
Skill Efficiency Of District Level Kho-Kho Players In Relation To Their Anthropometric Variables

Abstract
The aim of this study is to find out the relationship of skill efficiency of kho-kho players with anthropometric variables. For the purpose of present study, (N=20) male kho-kho players between the age group of 18-28 years were selected as participants. To test the skill efficiency of the kho-kho players some test items were selected such as Chair kho test, Ring game test, Audio-visual reaction, Biped covering path and zig-zag play test. Selected anthropometric variables such as weight, height, arm length and leg length were measured by the standard technique of Heath - Carter (1967). In order to examine the relationship between skill efficiency and anthropometric variables, product moment method of correlation was applied. The results of the study revealed that: - a) Height has been found positive significant relationship with performance in chair kho test, and arm length has shown negative significant relationship. However, weight, leg length and BMI were shown negative and insignificant relationship with performance in chair kho test among district level kho-kho players; b) Height, arm length and leg length have been found positive significant relationship with performance in ring game test, and BMI has shown negative significant relationship. However, weight has shown positive insignificant relationship with performance in ring game test among district level kho-kho players; c) Weight, height, arm length and leg length have been found positive insignificant relationship with performance in audio-visual reaction test. However, BMI has shown negative insignificant relationship with performance in audio-visual reaction time test among district level kho-kho players; d) Weight, arm length and leg length have been found positive insignificant relationship with performance in biped covering path test, and BMI has shown negative significant relationship with performance. However, height has shown positive significant relationship with performance in biped covering path test among district level kho-kho players; e) Weight and height has been found positive insignificant relationship with performance in zigzag play test, and BMI has shown negative significant relationship with performance. However, arm length and leg length were shown positive significant relationship with performance in zigzag play test among district level kho-kho players. Key Words - Skill efficiency, Anthropometry and Kho-Kho.
