Paper Title
Dynamic Steganography using Linear Scan Array Matching Technique

Abstract
Steganography is the process of concealing a secret message or multimedia file within another file. A new approach for data hiding is proposed. A 24-bit BMP image file is used as cover. In this approach, we extract LSB bits from the cover image as an array of bits. The secret data after converting into a stream of bits is then slid over the cover bit array at all possible locations and a total number of matches are calculated in a table of values for all possible locations. The secret data array is then reversed and the same procedure is adopted to find another set of matching values. Two parameters are noted for each position of data bit array over the cover bit array. First is starting position of data bit array and second is the direction of data bit stream. The hidden data is recovered by the receiver after extracting these two parameters as well as the length of data bit stream stored within the cover hence providing a layer of security. This method increases both security as well as distortion of stego-cover image leading to better embedding efficiency. Index terms - Steganography, matching, algorithm, extraction.
