A Study on Juxtaposition of Numerous Chemotherapeutic Drugs Prevalence and Dispersion of Patients Relative to Cancer Stages

Abstract
In Bangladesh every year almost 0.2 million new cancer patients are diagnosed. This study aims a comprehensive survey on efficacy level of the most frequently used chemotherapeutic drugs in Bangladesh and prevalence of cancer patients in various stages of different cancers. An observational and retrospective study on varied stages of cancer according to numerous cancers was conducted on 100 cancer patients attending National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital and Ahsania Mission Cancer Hospital from July 2017 to October 2017. Patients were differentiated based on the cancer stage and 32 types of cancer were found of 7 different systems of the body with Digestive System having frequency of 20, Respiratory System (19), Reproductive System (13), Musculoskeletal (4), Circulatory System (2), Nervous System (1) and Special Organs/Glands (41) comprised of Breast, Sebaceous Gland, Chest wall, Retro peritoneal, Pelvic Region and Ear. Main focus of the study is patient frequency in varied cancer stages and comparison of efficacy levels of different chemotherapeutic drugs showing Cisplatin having the highest frequency (45) and Paclitaxel (41), Cyclophosphamide (33) and Doxorubicin (30) showing higher frequency compared to others. The findings of the study may confer a useful indicator of significant facts of efficacy of various chemotherapeutic drugs.
