The Relationship Between Attitudes toward Change and Performance; The Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior as Mediating Variable

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test the performance of employees in the public sector. The attitude towards organizational change, in this research, refers to the implementation of remuneration system that has been established by the government. Testing is done by testing the relationship between attitude toward change and performance. The respondent in this study includes teachers or lecturers and administration staff of a State University. The sampling technique used proportional random sampling. Furthermore, the study examined the role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as a mediation of attitude toward change with performance. The test results show that both hypotheses are supported, namely that: 1. The attitude of organizational change is positively related to performance. Means a positive attitude towards organizational change will tend to improve performance. 2. Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) mediates the relationship between attitude toward change and performance. Means a positive attitude towards organizational change will tend to improve performance through Organizational Citizenship Behavior.
