Foreign Learners’ Understanding and Ability to use Thai Subsidiary Motion Verbs in “Pai (Go)” and “Maa (Come)”

Abstract
The study aims at examining foreign learners’ understanding and ability to use Thai subsidiary motion verbs in “Pai (Go)” and “Maa (Come),” based on the theory of constructivism in teaching. A sample is selected from Korean college students in the junior year by the purposive sampling method. It is found that teaching activities based on the theory of constructivism effectively support foreign learners’ understanding and ability to use Thai subsidiary motion verbs in “Pai (Go)” and “Maa (Come)” in terms of both meanings and sentence structures. Furthermore, the study shows that students find teaching methods based on the constructivism theory favorable, assessing them to be in a “good” level.
