Applying Consistency Ratio For Weighting of Qualitative Performance Measures in Layout Problem

Abstract
A disadvantage of AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is that if there is a large number of questionnaires, the consistency of the evaluator’s answer becomes low. The study of whether the improvement of paired comparison matrix consistency affect towards decision making has been carried out through CR (Consistency Ratio) index improvement algorithm. Han's (1992) CR index improvement algorithm has been used to improve consistency of the paired comparison matrix in terms of the revised semiconductor production line, which has been investigated by AHP analysis. Using the CR index improvement algorithm, the pair comparison matrix elements was corrected and supplemented to improve the consistency. As a result, the result value of AHP and DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis) were changed and it was helpful to make accurate decision. In conclusion, it is possible to improve the consistency of the paired comparison matrices and reduce the error of decision making by improving the CR index.
