Gene And Protein Expression Of Csnk2a1 In The Liver Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Mice Model

Abstract
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease found worldwide. BKS.Cg- Dock 7m +/+ Leprdb/JNarl mice is a useful animal model for studyingType 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) disease. In this study, we investigated the Casein kinase 2 alpha 1 (CSNK2A1) gene expression and protein expression in the liver tissues of mice in different age groups (4, 16 and 32 weeks) by usingreal-time quantitative polymerase chain reactions (qPCRs), Western Blot assay and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Our data demonstrated that there was a significant increasein both the gene expression and protein expression in T2DM (+Leprdb / +Leprdb) mice liver compared to the control (+Dock7m /+Dock7m) mice. Our data has paved the way for exploring the BKS.Cg- Dock7m +/+ Leprdb/JNarlin the mice model. Based on our findings, we can now understand the role of CSNK2A1 gene upregulation when encountering T2DM pathologies. Keywords: +Leprdb / +Leprdb mice; T2DM; Casein Kinase 2 Alpha 1 (CSNK2A1).
