Paper Title
Population Dynamics Of Olive Fruit Fly Bactrocera Oleae Gmel. (Diptera; Tephritidae) in North Cyprus

Abstract
The olive is one of the most important crops of Mediterranean region. It is known that 98 % of the worlds olive cultivation occurs in this region. However, pest control is a major concern of olive growers in this region. Oive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae Gmelin.) is one of the major pest which has economic importance throughout the region. The aim of this research was the observation of adult male and female populations of olive fruit fly. Research was conducted in 14 olive groves at two different locations. To determine population dynamics of olive fruit fly adults, yellow sticky traps were placed in the canopies (about 1,5 m in high) of six haphazardly selected trees between July and December 2015 in each olive grove. According to the results, the highest olive fruit fly population has seen in Gzelyurt region during December. Keywords - Bactrocera Oleae, Population Dynamics, Olive, North Cyprus
